Introduction & Meaning of the Name

• Nickname: Known locally as the “Angel Island”, Bidadari got its name from legends of angel-like spirits seen on the island. Previously, it was called Pulau Bajo or Pulau Bidara—after the bidara (jujube) trees that once grew abundantly—before its mystical name took over.
• Location: Part of Komodo National Park, it lies just 10–30 minutes by boat from Labuan Bajo, depending on whether you choose a speedboat (≈10 min) or traditional vessel (≈30 min)
